We're committed to providing websites which are easy to use for as many people as possible. Below are some details on how we aim to achieve this accessibility.

Build Quality

This website is built using W3C validating XHTML 1.0 Strict code, and uses CSS to seperate the site content from elements used for visual aesthetic. Our efforts with quality coding and accessible and logical content markup ensure the website is accessible to devices such as screen readers.

Cross Browser Testing

We recognise that not all site visitors use the same browsers, platforms and hardware. Due to this diversity, all pages are tested across a range of different browsers and on both Mac and PC computers. This testing ensures that as many people as possible experience the website as our designers intended.

Standards Compliance

Our aim is for all pages to conform to a miniumum of priority 2 of the W3C-WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG 1.0). Meeting this standard is commonly known as Level AA compliance. We also aim to meet as many priority 3 (level AAA compliance) requirements as possible.

Access Keys

Access Keys are a feature supported by modern web browsers, enabling the user to navigate a website using the keyboard without the need to use a pointing device such as a mouse. Our Access Keys and details on using them are as follows:

Please Note: Services are offered on either a mobile basis within the central Newcastle/Gateshead area, or from the Urban Halo Newcastle upon Tyne base. Prices correct as at July 2010. Unless otherwise stated, quotations are for Kanekalon Jumbo Braids or monobraid synthetic fibre extension hair. Human hair is also available on request at extra charge. Appointment durations given are accurate for 80-90% of clients, but may be subject to variation due to hair type, previous treatments, scalp sensitivity etc.
